woke up to a much clearer day. was able to see the monastery in its mountain surrounds. during the walk, the clouds provided interesting framing of the mountain views.
pheriche was the right choice. there were two option of towns, and we chose the one with the best lodge of the entire trek. the himalaya view hotel...great place, great food and no mark up. great place to stay two days.
rest day we hiked up along a ridge, near to the top for some outstanding views.
