march 17th: day 14

day 14- Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m/12,687ft)

awoke to clear skies outside my room window, but by the time we set out from namche,  you could tell the day's weather would be cloudy.  clouds rising from the bottom of the valley.

the day's walk was enjoyable, and we gained about 400m, but it was all gradual.  we arrived as fog was rolling into tengboche.  dropped the stuff at the room, and went to the monastery, one of the most important in nepal.  watch the afternoon prayers of the monks, took a look around and watched the yaks get their fill of scrub grass.
